Tour Elegant Homes, Help District 67 Students

Annual Spirit of 67 Home Tour will raise money to enrich student experience at Lake Forest schools.

Lake Forest residents will have their annual opportunity to tour four historically and architecturally significant homes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and help the students of Lake Forest School District 67 schools at the same time. Which homes have been selected by the Spirit of 67 Foundation, the host of the event? That is a surprise. People will learn the four residences when they pick up their ticket Thursday. Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Schools Named to State Academic Honor Roll

Five Lake Forest and Lake Bluff area schools were given the honor for sustaining high academic performance for three consecutive years.

Elementary schools in Lake Forest School District 67 and Lake Bluff School District 65 were given high honors by the Illinois State Board of Education this week. The following schools were named to the Academic Honor Roll and given the 2012 Academic Excellence Award. Cherokee Elementary, Deer Path Middle School East, Everett Elementary and Sheridan Elementary in District 67 and Lake Bluff Elementary in District 65 are among 454 Illinois schools receiving the award. The schools honored all sustained high academic performances over the past three years.
