From interstates to local roads, our map provides updates on closures and high-standing water in your area.

From the Wisconsin border to the south side of Chicago and into the western suburbs, local roads, interstates and highways were closed Thursday because of flooding.  Click through the pins above to see which roads in your area — or on your route to and from work today — have been closed due to flooding or have high-standing water. Police are encouraging drivers to avoid roadways with standing water.  If you come upon an area with high-standing water or that is closed, add that information to our map by visiting this link. Gucci, Prada, J. Crew Among Tenants Announced for New Suburban Mall

Fashion Outlets of Chicago will be opening in August near O'Hare Airport.

A new mall slated to open in Rosemont on Aug. 1 will include several high-end retailers, such as Gucci, Prada, Barneys New York, Michale Kors, J. Crew and Giorgio Armani, according to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago website. Fashion Outlets of Chicago — a two-level, 530,000-square foot mall — announced its full tenant list this past week, which will includes its anchor stores: a Bloomingdale's outlet, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and Forever21, according to Crain's Chicago Business.  A full list of retailers is availalbe on the mall's website.  The mall will be located within minutes of O'Hare Airport and will offer services, like shuttles to and from the airport and a concierge service that will print boarding …

'America's Got Talent' to Hold Chicago Tryouts

NBC's top-rated summer show will be holding auditions in Chicago at McCormick Place on Jan. 26 and Jan. 27.

Last season, "American's Got Talent" had three unique finalists: A comedian, a family dog act and a one-of-a-kind musical instrument. The winner? A group of dogs that danced, performed jump rope tricks and even some gymnastics. "Chicago is an important city for 'America's Got Talent,'" said senior casting producer Jason Shuler. "We have had several top talent audition at our Chicago open calls. Among them are Chicago group Footworkingz and the piano player from Edon from our most current season." Notable winners who auditioned in Chicago: Neal E. Boyd from season three and Kevin Skinner from season four. Help Keep The Animals Cool At Animal Welfare League

Thieves steal copper, disable air-conditioners.

It’s bad enough when thieves steal from anyone, but last weekend the non-profit Animal Welfare League, the largest humane organization in the Midwest, was the victim of copper theft from several rooftop air conditioners. The result? More than 80 dogs and 40 cats in their Chicago shelter, 6224 S. Wabash Ave., suffered from overheating as the temperature and humidity soared this past week. At the beginning of July, employees noticed the air conditioners were not working properly. When they went up to the roof to check out their two units, they were shocked to see that thieves stole all the copper piping and vandalized so completely that neither of the air conditioners was salvageable. Free Ice Cream for Dogs Makes Stop At Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Parks

Best Friends Treat Truck will bring the goodies and initiate other dog-owner activties.

That ice cream truck coming through the neighborhoods on July 4 is not meant for your kids. It's for your dog. The Best Friends Treat Truckwill be giving out free ice cream and cookies for dogs at Lake Forest and Lake Bluff dog parks on July 4.  There are also games, photo fun and other activities to enhance the human-canine bond. The truck will be making the following stops: Best Friends Pet Care, which has locations in Chicago and Prairie View, provides boarding, daycamp, grooming and training. The truck, which began its tour in Boston in early June, has been visiting Chicagoland dog parks this week.
