New bakery and sweet shop plan to open in May.
If you want to have a cup cake eating contest among family and friends, May will be a good month to do it in Lake Forest. Two new businesses plan to start operations this month and both feature cup cakes plus a whole lot more. Both Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique and the Wildflour Baking Company hope to open their doors to customers before spring turns into summer. Wildflour will be a full service bakery at Westwood Square while Jolly Good fellows will sell cup cakes, frozen yogurt, candy, a few toys and a few other things to create a family friendly atmosphere on Market Square. A number of new businesses have opened or are coming soon.
Since the start of the year, three news businesses have announced they will open their doors in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff with the first, Pasta Palooza, starting to serve customers March 17 in downtown Lake Bluff. By the end of next month, both Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique and Wildflour Baking Company plan to be open for business as well. Owner of newest Market Square Business plans to offer Lake Forest children a special place.
If Lake Forest entrepreneur, wife, parent and cup cake baker Laura Fellows has her way, the children of the area will have the perfect replacement for the Toy Station when she opens Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique on Market Square in a few months. Her target is May. She will be selling fresh baked cup cakes, frozen yogurt, candy, gifts and maybe a little more but most of all she wants to provide a place for young people to enjoy themselves and families to congregate. People want a variety of flavors and styles when Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique Opens.
Frozen Yogurt will be one of the mainstays along with cupcakes and other treats when Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique opens on Market Square this spring. Patch has already polled its readers on the flavors of cupcakes they want to see and Monday we asked for choices of frozen yogurt. Excitement is building over the opening of Jolly Good Fellows Suite Boutique on Market Square this spring and Patch readers have made it clear their favorite cupcake is red velvet.
