The information below was provided by the Lake Forest Police Department. Driving under the influence On Feb. 18 at 11:30 a.m., Chris D. Curie, 57, of Barrington, was arrested by detectives on a warrant for failing to appear in DuPage County courts on a previous DUI charge. Curie had been wanted since 2011. Curie wastransported to Lake County Jail to await extradition to DuPage County Jail. An officer stopped Fredy Solis, 26, of North Chicago, on Feb. 16 at 9:38 a.m., for speeding on Waukegan Road. He was found to have an open, partially‐consumed bottle of tequila with him that he admitted to drinking from. Consumption of alcohol by minor A juvenile male was stopped for a traffic violation at 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 27 and cited for a curfew violation and driving outside the allowable time on his license. He was also cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor after admitting to having alcohol earlier in the evening. A female passenger was also cited for violating curfew. Both juveniles were released to parents. Possession of Alcohol by a Minor Alexander C. Miller, 20, of Louisville, KY is being charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His administrative hearing is set for Jan. 9 at City Hall. The report states that officers located Miller standing outside of 830 N. Western Ave. with an alcoholic beverage. He was then issued a citation for possession of alcohol by a minor. Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage Tyrone M. Jiles, 33, of Waukegan is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, according to Lake Forest Police reports. That comment is interesting as many times I have read names of local people driving under the influence. Reckless driving occurs right here in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff~people failing to stop at stop signs, u~turns in double yellow areas, speeding....sometimes it's frightening just to cross the street locally as people fail to wait for pedestrians.
