Caught Red Handed With Matching Eye Shadow A Prospect Heights woman was charged with retail theft at Golf Mill Mall after a security agent observed her taking cosmetics and makeup from a store display, putting them into her purse and exiting the store without paying. Security recovered 28 items worth $425 on the scene. …

Lake Forest Man Arrested for Slapping a Juvenile

The information below comes from the Lake Forest Police Department. Consumption of alcohol by a minor April 28: Police and an ambulance responded to Lake Forest College for a report of a highly intoxicated student. BenjaminD. Larsen, 20, of , Mendota Heights, Minn., was transported to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and later cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Driving under the influence April 27: An officer responded to Route 41 for a cell phone complaint of a possibly intoxicated driver. There he located Lauren M. Mcardle, 27, of Lake Forest, swerving in and out of her lane.He stopped Mcardle, who admitted to drinking and exhibited a strong odor of alcohol. I'll Put $50 On Him Finishing Last in the Trifecta A Chicago man was charged with felony retail theft after he tried leaving Golf Mill Mall with two boxes of cologne under his jacket. Security guards tried to stop the man, but he swung a fist at the security guard's face, trying to strike, but missed.  He ran out of the mall, pursued by security guards, and dropped his jacket with the cologne in the parking lot while running. He ran into the front doors of the off-track betting facility located in a mall outlot, and then ran out the back doors near the kitchen. Lake Bluff Woman Charged with Endangering Life of a Child

The information below comes from the Lake Forest Police Department. Driving under the influence On April 21, officers responded to a one car crash on Ridge Road in which the vehicle left the road striking landscaping, a wall and a gate. Police spoke with Samantha M. Kimber, the 26-year-old driver from Westland, Mich. She exhibited a strong odor of alcohol, admitted to drinking all evening and could not explain how she left the road. Kimber was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and later charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Lake Forest Resident Charged with DUI in Highland Park

The information below comes from the Highland Park Police Department. Driving under the influence Eric Nowik (41) of the 800 block of Longwood Drive, Lake Forest was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to a request for a well being check for a driver who was slumped over the steering wheel in the 1300 block of Half Day Road, Highland Park. Nowik was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 10, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Teen Arrested for Possession of Cannabis

The information below comes from the Lake Forest Police Department. Unlawful Possession of Cannabis Police responded to a report of a subject sleeping in the common room of a residence hall at Lake Forest College. They located Adam A. Horzowski, 19, of Chicago, and were able to wake him. The officers immediately detected a strong odor of cannabis and located marijuana on Horszowki. He was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia and faces a May court date.
