The Deerfield woman arrested in November for stalking Father Michael Pfleger was found unfit to stand trial today and transferred to the mental health ward in the Cook County Jail hospital, where she is being held without bond, for inpatient treatment, according to a story on CBS Chicago. A Deerfield woman charged with two felony counts of stalking Chicago priest Michael Pfleger remains in Cook County Jail after the judge took no action on her bail status at a hearing Monday in Cook County Criminal Court in Chicago. Lidia Kuzniar of Deerfield, who faces up to eight years in prison if convicted on both counts, appeared at a status hearing Monday where the judge made no change to a Nov. 20 order denying her bail, according to Cook County State’s Attorney spokesperson Andy Conklin. Lidia Kuzniar arrested Sunday after violating a protection order to stay away from Chicago’s St. Sabina Church.
A Deerfield woman was charged with two counts of felony stalking of Father Michael Pfleger Monday after entering the St. Sabina Church Sunday in Chicago violating of a protection order, according to Chicago Police Officer Laura Kubiak. Lidia Kuzniar, 55, of Deerfield was arrested Sunday on a complaint signed by Father Pfleger after she entered St. Sabina Church at 1210 West 78th Place in Chicago after she had been warned to stay away, according to Kubiak. Kuzniar is charged with aggravated stalking, a Class 3 felony, and stalking to cause fear for safety, a Class 4 felony, according to Kubiak.
