Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed in Fatal Train Accident of Lake Forest Woman
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed concerning the death of Lauren Marie LeVert of Lake Forest after she was struck by a train in Deerfield in 2010.
The parents of a Lake Forest woman who was fatally struck by a train in Deerfield in 2010 have filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Lauren Marie LeVert, 29, was killed by a train in Deerfield in October of 2010, when she became confused and stepped onto or fell onto train tracks and was instantly killed by an oncoming train, according to a Sun-Times article. The suit also notes that she was on prescribed medication from Rush University Medical Center that caused her to become occasionally disoriented. The suit names three defendents in the case - Canadian Pacific Railway Company, Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation and Rush University Medical Center.
