ReplyYou don't get it. This is not about whether you passed an audit. This is not about justifying it because another district did this. Would you jump off a cliff if they did? I think not.
This is just plain gross mismanagement of the business of education in LF! You spend way too much, and deliver way to little for the dollars. You charge too many fees that other districts don't even charge for such as buses and books.
If this were a business you would be fired!

The problem is the unreasonableness of the positions of the union against the reality of the salaries they are getting. For so long, it was argued that teachers were not going to make market salaries, so they deserved good pensions. It now appears that the teachers have fooled us!
They have great salaries and great pensions. This is not what we bargained for. And when I look at the best teachers that my kids have had, they are all getting paid the least.

This is the problem, #1 is a Gym teacher and #3 is a Driver's Ed instructor.

ReplyIt should not be a matter of resources!
The school can not afford to pay more and the teachers do not deserve more. It is that simple. This is the wrong time.

This is crazy! Borrowing money is another dumb idea on top of their last dumb idea.
This is not the way you manage a budget. They already own $75M for the "apple store" hallway they built.
