Hometown: Preston, MN
Birthday: May 27, 1990
When Paula was 10 years old, she named herself Editor-in-Chief of her middle school's newspaper — and her love of all things news and journalism has only grown since then.
Paula attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN (Um Ya Ya!) where she graduated in May of 2012 with degrees in Political Science, American Studies and Media Studies. At college, she was on the two-person Executive Editing Team for the Manitou Messenger (and worked as the News Editor for two years prior). She was also the coordinator for the Music Entertainment Committee, a branch of student government that planned all the rock concerts on campus (so make sure to let her know about your local bands!). She spent two summers interning in Washington D.C. — the summer before her junior year at the Newseum/First Amendment Center and the summer before her senior year at C-SPAN.
After graduation, Paula worked as the Local Editor for the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch. She's excited to be editing the New Trier Township sites (both the Winnetka-Glencoe and the Wilmette-Kenilworth Patches)
Paula's work has also been featured in the Huffington Post, Hellogiggles, the Rochester Post-Bulletin, the Fillmore County Journal and the Examiner. When she's not digging up local news stories or attending school board meetings, she can be found guzzling coffee at the Rock House, eBaying or attending class at Second City.
