City Board to Whole Foods: Come Back with Different Design
The Lake Forest Building Review Board wants to see different architectural plans for the proposed Whole Foods at Route 60 and Saunders Road.
Lake Forest’s Building Review Board had told the developers behind a proposed Whole Foods that it would like a more “masonry” look to the building as opposed to the Cape Cod style that has been presented, according to an article in the Lake Forester.
Developer Shiner Capital Partners would like to construct an approximate 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods store at the southeast corner of Route 60 and Saunders Road, along with three smaller buildings to be used as restaurants or other retail use, as well as a bank.
The board also suggested a green roof for the building, and discussed ways to reduce sound and light for the Amberley Woods condos next door, the article states.
