Highwood Goes Hands Free August 1
Highwood joins list of North Shore communities prohibiting hand held cell phone use while driving.

Not so fast.
People driving from Lake Forest to Highland Park will no longer be able to reach for their hand held cell phones while passing through Highwood.
Highwood joins other North Shore communities like Highland Park, Lake Forest and Deerfield banning hand held cell phone use August 1.
Lake Bluff does not have a ban though it enforces the state law which prohibits use in a school or construction zone.
