Nurse Charged with Stealing Money from Senior Resident

Violation of an Order of Protection

Police responded to a businessin the 900 north block of Western Avenue for a report of an unwanted subject. They located Michalski Wlodzimierz, 56, of Melrose Park, outside the business and spoke with Wlodzimierz’s estranged wife inside. She advised she had obtained an order of protection against Wlodzimierz which prohibited himcoming inside her place of work. Officers confirmed the existence ofthe order andspoke with Wlodzimierz, who admitted entering the businessin violation ofthe order.He wastaken into custody, processed and latertransported to Lake County Jailfor a bond hearing.

Driving while license suspended

An officer responded to a complaint of a pickup speeding and driving recklessly on Rout 41. He located and stopped Mateos Guadalupe, 26, of North Chicago, for speeding. Guadalupe was found to have a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested, processed and released on bond with a July court date.

Aggravated identity theft

An officer investigated eight incidents where money was stolen from the bank account of a senior resident of an assisted living facility inthe 1100 block of North Pembridge. In total, $2,420 was taken fromthe victim’s account between May 28 and June 12, 2013, via unauthorized ATM transactions. Soo‐Ni Gedde, 31, of Waukegan, the nursing assistant ofthe victim, was questioned and admitted to taking the victim’s ATM card and withdrawing the money using the victim’s PIN number. Gedde was charged with aggravated identity theft, a class 2 felony,processed and transported to Lake County Jailfor a bond hearing.
