$1,500 Sailboat Motor Stolen in May

Theft

May 5: A resident reported the new Mercury 5HP outboard motor recently installed on his sailboat was stolen from off of his boat while parked at the boat storage area at Forest Park between Sunday, May 5 and Sunday, May 12, 2013. The motor was valued at $1,500.

Driving under the influence


May 26: An officer observed a vehicle driven by a male juvenile swerving across the lane markers. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who admitted drinking and using cannabis earlier, according to police. He failed field sobriety testing and was taken into custody. He later produced a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol concentration of 0.166. He was processed and released on bond with a June court date. Police said his passenger, a female juvenile, admitted to drinking and produced a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol content of 0.150. She was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and released with an administrative hearing date of 6/12/13 at 9:00 AM.

May 15: An officer stopped Scanlan‐Corcoran for driving without headlights after dark. She exhibited a strong odor of alcohol, admitted to drinking, and failed three field sobriety tests, police said. She was taken into custody and later produced a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol content of 0.180. She was processed and released on bond with a June court date.

Consumption of alcohol by minor

May 26: Officers responded to a vacant home in the 200 block of Saunders Road for a reported teen party. They located a male juvenile who fled the home when police arrived. He was stopped and admitted to drinking in the house, police said. He was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and released to his parents.

Unlawful possession of cannabis

May 22: An officer on foot patrol at Forest Park located Henry A. Gloor, 20, of Lake Forest, and Madeleine, Panos, 18, of Lake Forest, smoking cannabis in a car at the beach parking lot, police said. The officer also located a glass smoking pipe and a fictitious Wisconsin driver’s license with Gloor’s photo and a false date of birth. Gloor was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession offalse identification and Panos was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis. Both face separate June court dates.

Obstructing identification

May 16: Juan Manchuca‐Estrada, 37, of Mount Prospect, was stopped by an officer for a violation ofthe City’s cell phone ordinance. She gave the officer false identification with a different name. The officer was able to properly identify her and discovered she was driving without a valid driver’s license. Shewas arrested and charged with obstructing identification, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance. She was processed and released on bond with a June court date.

Failure to appear

May 15: Enrique Lopez, 29, of Waukegan, was stopped by an officer for speeding on Route 41. He was discovered to be wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Lopez was taken into custody and transported to Lake County Jail.

Theft
