Woman Dragged Under Truck Driven by Lake Bluff Man
The driver told police he did not know the woman was there. Other drivers spotted her and were able to get the man to stop.
A 23-year-old Mundelein woman is hospitalized yet expected to recover after being dragged about 1,000 feet underneath a pickup truck driven by a 56-year-old Lake Bluff man who told police he didn't see the woman, according to the Daily Herald. The incident happened in Mundelein on Monday
No charges had been filed as of Tuesday, according to the Mundelein Review, which like the Daily Herald, did not include either the driver or victim's names. The woman is in critical condition, having suffered significant injuries to her face, torso and arm, Mundelein Police Chief Eric Guenther said in the article.
The Daily Herald reports that other drivers saw the woman, who had been walking on the sidewalk, and were able to get the Lake Bluff man to stop driving.
