Forgery, Trespassing and Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lake Forest Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Forgery

Chad Richard McCleary, 38, of Chicago is being charged with forgery, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His hearing is set for Dec. 8 in Park City, and his bond is set at $120. 

The report states that McCleary, a former staff member of the fitness club at 1200 N. Westmoreland, was arrested for forgery after it was found that he was creating false membership accounts and documents over the years in order to increase his sales commission.

Illegal Control of Cannabis, Improper Lane Usage, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle

Roberta J. Packer-Segel, 64, of Highland Park is being charged with illegal control of cannabis, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle, according to Lake Forest Police reports. Her court date is set for Dec. 4 and her bond is set as a $2,000 recognizance bond.

The report states that officers located Packer-Segel after an officer saw her swerve over a lane marking. Officers then located cannabis inside the passenger compartment of her vehicle. It was also found that she had no proof of insurance.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Speeding

Omar Vela, 31, of Houston, Texas is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to Lake Forest Police reports.

The report states that Vela was stopped for speeding on Route 41. Officers found that he exhibited a strong odor of alcohol. He admitted to drinking and failed three field sobriety tests, police said. He submitted to a breath test, which found that he had a blood alcohol content of .139.

Trespass to Land

William T. Bartholomay, 60, of Lake Forest is being charged with trespass to land, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His administrative hearing is set for Dec. 12 at City Hall.

The report states that a resident on Louis Ave. reported that her ex-husband entered her home while she was away and removed two dogs from the residence.

Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor

Evan M. Sandman, 20, of Lake Forest is being charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His bond is set at 3,000 and his hearing is set for Dec. 11 at City Hall.

The report states that officers and a Lake Forest Fire Department Ambulance responded to a one-car crash, in which a car struck a pole at the bank drive-thru located at 780 North Bank Lane. Sandman, the driver, exhibited a strong odor of alcohol and had trouble standing and remembering how the crash had occurred. Police located an open bottle of champagne, an open can of beer, a container with a small amount of marijuana and an empty twelve-pack of beer in the car. Sandman was transported to Lake Forest Hospital and was later taken into custody. He refused to complete all chemical tests and as a result his driving privileges will be suspended for a minimum of one year.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Paige J. Lynch, 20, of Lake Bluff is being charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to Lake Forest Police reports. Her administrative hearing is set for Dec 12 at City Hall.

Lynch was a passenger in the above case. She exhibited a strong odor of alcohol and admitted to drinking. She was issued an administrative hearing.
