Lake Forest High School Girl's Golf Ends Season

LFHS Girl's Golf wraps up a great season.

The Lake Forest High School Girl's Golf team wrapped up another great season this year, with both Varsity (338) and Junior Varsity (402) winning first place in their conference.

On the Varsity team, Emily Young led with 81, followed by Lauren Wyatt with 83 and then Paige Skinner and Genevieve Foster, each with 87.

In JV, Stephanie Pintas medaled with an 89, Emily Hanson had a 103 and Sara Svedson had 104. Lily Johnson, Victoria Dee and Nora Riley also receieved medals.

The Varsity team won Regionals over Mundelein at Bittersweet by 16 strokes, with a final score of 348. The scores there were Emily Young with 80, Lauren Wyatt with 86, Paige Skinner with 87 and Genevieve Foster with 95.

Freshman Emily Young shot an 80 at the Girls' Golf Sectional (which was held at Bonnie Brook Golf Course this year), and she qualified for state. Paige Skinner had an 84 and missed by one stroke, losing in a playoff. Young shot an 86 on Friday's State competition, with the Saturday round being rained out.
