VIDEO - Lake Forest High School Teachers Strike Day 2

Teachers march in front of LFHS

LFHS teachers picket in front of the school on the second day of their strike. The school remains open for students and is offering supplemental college prep classes (such as ACT and SAT courses), but attendance is not mandatory.

Who is Paula Skaggs? What happened to Jim Powers or that new guy Steve?
Paula Skaggs (Editor) September 13, 2012 at 05:25 PM
Hello, Stevie! I'm going to be the new editor for the Lake Forest Patch. Jim moved to warmer weather, and Steve was helping me out covering the site for the past few weeks. I'm excited to start, and please let me know if you have any ideas or questions!

As of today, Paula is the new editor of the site. Jim left the job this summer when he moved out of state and Steve, who edits Deerfield Patch, was filling in temporarily. Paula will write an article of introduction soon -- she's just been a bit busy with the strike on her first day. :)

Fair and balanced thats what this site needs
Ralph Keen September 13, 2012 at 09:05 PM
Lynette, this site serves the community best when it's editorially non-partisan and allows each resident to contribute as he or she wishes. Paula, welcome!

Great video, Paula.

Ralph thats a great picture, really uh never mind I was just trying to be nice, that picture looks like a mugshot gone wrong. I am using this post to talk to you about your terrible remarks about the teachers . Judging by the picture I take it your from Knollwood? I guess that explains it to some extent, but come on 97% of pollers do not agree or stand with the teachers! Get with it Ralph Keen, the teachers are in the wrong here!

Do we have a problem here Martha? Mr. Keen is a radical teacher, who deletes his own comments. Thanks for your nice comment Martha, have a nice day. Also word to the wise, maybe throw in a comma after my name next time. I will let it go because school is not in session and the teachers are on their early spring break.
